Super Smooth Grayback material. This thick material is the ideal choice for a durable, professional-looking sign – it will not curl, so your banner remains taut and presentable. In addition, the gray backing prevents light transparency and shadows.

For best results, please use our downloadable retractable banner templates to create your design file. Each template is clearly marked with the safe zone, trim line, and bleed line. Essential text, graphics, and images should be placed within the safe zone so they are not cut off during the trimming process.

Make sure any background images extend past the trim line to the bleed. For retractable banner files, we require a 0.0625″ bleed on both the left and right sides (0.125″ total bleed for the width), a 0.1″ bleed on the top, and a 6″ bleed on the bottom.

Retractable banner stand files must be a minimum of 150 dpi at final print size and in CMYK mode. We accept TIF, TIFF, EPS, AI, PSD, BMP, GIF, JPG, PNG, and PDF files that are no more than 75 megabytes.

Production time for retractable banners is 2 to 4 business days. The day after you have approved your proof and your payment has been processed is generally considered the first day of production.

If you approve your proof by 9AM PT/ 11AM CT/ 12PM ET and your payment has been processed, then the production time begins that day.

Although banner replacement instructions vary slightly based on the size and type of stand, here is a general overview of how to replace the banners on our retractable stands.

Step 1: Remove the top rail end caps
Step 2: With a flat-head screwdriver, gently push against the top rail
Step 3: Open the top rail to release the old banner
Step 4: Insert the new banner and close the top rail to secure the banner. Don’t forget to attach the end caps back to the rail.
Step 5: Gently pull the banner up completely until it is fully extended and you can see the leader, which is the white area on the bottom of the banner.
Step 6: Insert the pin into the hole on the side of the stand to lock the banner into place. Cut along the bottom of the banner with scissors, making sure to cut an inch above the leader.
Step 7: Align the double-sided tape so that it runs straight across the banner, right above the leader.
Step 8: Attach the banner onto the tape, making sure to attach right above the leader. Run your hand across the bottom of the banner to ensure the banner has adhered to the tape.
Step 9: While holding onto the banner tightly, remove the pin and slowly allow the banner to retract into the stand.
