I am designing my own bookmark. How much “bleed” should I add to my design?

We require a 0.1″ bleed for bookmark files. For best results, please use our downloadable bookmark template to guide your design. Our templates clearly indicate the safety zone, trim line and bleed for each size. Any text or images that you don’t want to risk being cut off should be placed within the safe zone. The trim line shows where the final product will be cut, and the bleed refers to the part that will be trimmed off. If you are using a background color or image, make sure it extends to the bleed line.

Our production time for custom bookmarks is 2 to 6 business days (depending on the paper stock). The production time begins a day after you have approved your proof and your payment is processed. If your order is approved and payment is processed by 9AM PT/ 11AM CT/ 12PM ET, then the production time begins that day.
